the diary of a nobody - g. & w. grossmith (1892)



a pleasant meandering read. the diarist is somewhat pompous extremely proper painfully earnest and quite entertaining. shades of mr. collins, but a tad more likable.

diaries have their charm, i must say. there is little plot development or tension so you can read them at leisure, like anthologies.
